I'm a sucker for a beautiful sunset on a deserted beach as much as the next girl, but that doesn't tell me anything about my personality. Nor does it take me back to that time in my life quite the same. I absolutely love photo-shoots at home for this reason. One day in 30 years time I'm gonna look back on these photos at think wow look at how small the trees are, look at the colour of the house, remember how our dogs used to run that loop around the garden? Photos at home are so special, especially when your house isn't "aesthetically pleasing", because they're you - they're real and they are a doorway back in time to how things were back then.


Other benefits of photos at home:

  • They look like no-one elses photos
  • They're fuss-free (no driving to a location) and comfortable
  • They are a time-stamp of everything that's important to you right in this moment.


And I think that's the best thing ever.
